"Mercury Racing Releases New K-Plane Trim Tabs"

Mercury RacingK-Planes are the epitome of trim tab development, durability andperformance. Originally designed to endure the rigors of offshoreracing, K-Planes help get boats up on plane faster and keep themlevel. Selected models of the legendary trim tabs have been updatedfor enhanced durability, corrosion resistance and SmartCraftcompatibility.

Available in avariety of sizes for boats 21' and longer, the new K-Planes featurea stronger, corrosion resistant aluminum casting with largersupport ribs for enhanced durability. Elastomer mounts on each endof the hydraulic trim ram dampen impact loads and eliminate freeplay. The mounts, which eliminate contact between the stainlesssteel pivot points and aluminum housings, reduce corrosion betweendissimilar metals. Electrically bonded components and largersacrificial anodes enhance corrosion resistance.

Double-actinghydraulic trim cylinders maintain position and react immediately tofingertip control from the helm. Heavy-duty hydraulic trim pumpsare designed specifically for use with K-Planes in high performanceboating.

Selected modelscome equipped for adaptation of an electronic SmartCraft

® compatible trimsender. The electronic sender enables boaters to view digitalimages of tab trim positions at a glance.
