Mercury Racingis introducing a heavy-duty XR version of the Bravo Three drive, widening availability of the performance enhancements of the BravoOne XR, which are limited to racers and performance boaters. Thenew Bravo Three XR, with its counter rotating dual propellers, isaimed at recreational sports cruisers.
The drivefeatures a newly-developed cone clutch and shift engagement system.SmartCraft electronic management makes shifting into and out ofgear smooth and virtually inaudible. Mooring is made easier, withless chance of stalling.
The Bravo ThreeXR will also take Mercury Racing's Integrated Transom System (ITS),available as an option. ITS gives more flexibility of drive height, tidies up the transom and simplifies installation. It featuresintegral power steering cylinders, with the cylinders and trimmulti-mounted to a heavy-duty gimbal ring which transfers stressloads back to the transom, increasing strength anddurability.
Performanceupgrades include a new rear drive cap with a built-in tie-barattachment for twin and triple engined boats. Multi-attachingpoints of the upper and rear drive caps enhance the strength anddurability of the tie-bar attachment.
