"Arvor Announces 2006 Range of Fishing Boats"
14/10/2005

There are six models in Arvor’s 2006 range of diesel-powered fishing boats, all with upgrades and new features.  The restyling initiative started by Arvor for the 2005 line-up is completed in the new range.

The fast, semi-planing Arvor 215 AS, 230 AS and flagship 250 AS provide a spacious cabin offset to port allowing a deep, secure passageway forward on the starboard side.  A livewell is set at waist height in the transom, with an aquarium-type window for the entertainment of passengers.  It has an electric pump for seawater circulation.

New for 2006, the two larger boats have hydraulic trim tabs as standard to make it simple to adjust the craft for different loads and sea conditions.  The 250 AS is also equipped with a bow thruster to facilitate easy manoeuvring in tight quarters.  AS models are delivered standard with burgundy coloured hulls.

Completing the range are the Arvor 190, 210 and 215.  For 2006, these models feature the burgundy accents in upholstery, rubstrake and markings, introduced previously on the AS series.

Standard equipment across all six craft include full engine instrumentation; hydraulic steering; stainless steel pushpits and pulpits; anchor davit and locker; interior, navigation and mooring lights; stern platform with outboard engine bracket and stainless steel ladder; a transom door; rod holders and gunwale rollers; fish box; stainless steel keel protection; either two or three cockpit lockers; two cockpit benches; settee/berths with mattress; opening port on starboard window; and hatch on the pilothouse roof.  Models equipped with 75 HP engines and larger come with a standard trolling valve.

All Arvor boats are fitted with turbocharged inboard diesels.  Depending on the model, the engine choice is 40 HP (29.8 kW), 50HP (37.3kW), 60 HP (33.8 kW), 75HP (55.9kW), 100HP (74.6kW) or 150HP (111.9kW) from Volkswagen, or Cummins MerCruiser Diesel’s 4.2 litre engine, rated at 230HP (171kW), for the 250AS.
