"Organizational Changes"30/04/2008
We must become a more customer and market focused organization in order to fulfill Brunswick’s vision to operate the world’s best known and most profitable life style brands. Furthermore, we must have a product focused organization built around leveraging our expertise and passion for innovation, to create the most coveted products and experiences. In the spirit of fulfilling our vision, effective May 1, our European organization will operate under the structure outlined below which combines regional market leadership, with core product leadership. This is only the beginning of our quest to fulfill our vision, and therefore further changes will be unfolded over the coming weeks. In order to bring our company closer to our customers, as well as the market, we have reorganized around five major regions; Southern Europe, Central Europe, Northern Europe, CIS, and Middle East/Africa. The general managers of these five regions will all report directly to me. - Ferruccio Villa, General Manager South Europe, will lead our business in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia and the Balkans;
- François Sébire, General Manager Central Europe, will lead our business in France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, UK, Poland and Czech Republic;
- Jussi Sepponen, General Manager North Europe, will lead our business in Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland;

- JeanLouis Rekinger, General Manager, MiddleEast and Africa will lead our business in these two important territories;
Benoît Di Vito, Manager of Distributor Sales, will continue to be a critical member of our management team, ensuring that our distributors across each region will be supported properly. Benoit will report directly to Ferruccio Villa, with strong dotted reporting lines to Jussi Sepponen and François Sébire, and even myself. We are implementing an organizational model which matrixes product leadership together with our regional leadership. Again, we must have expertise and passion, to create the most coveted products and experiences. Our product leadership will also report directly to me and the key changes are as follows; - George Armendariz, Vice President & General Manager, Boat brands and Products, will lead our boat products across all brands. This change eliminates the division between European boat brands and US boat brands. We will go forward by managing all of our boat brands, as well as distribution of those brands, in a logical consistent manner. This is a critical change and one that we believe will create a much better environment for our distributors and dealers. In addition, we have many key product managers within this group who will be directly matrixed into our global boat companies; SeaRay, US Marine, Hatteras, and the OB Boat Group.
- Nico Bauduin, Director of Outboard Engine products, will go forward with a sole focus on expanding our outboard business. Nico’s vast marine engine experience make him perfectly suited to lead our drive to get better market penetration for our many new outboard products. In accordance with our new operating model, Nico will also be strongly matrixed into the global outboard business unit.
- Reinhard Burk, Director of Business Development for Sterndrive & Inboard Engines, will move to Europe to lead the expansion of this business across our region, with a focus on the advanced technologies encompassed in 360 Degree Control. Reinhard is one of the foremost product experts in this area and we are delighted to have him join our management team. Of course, Reinhard will also operate as part of our global MerCruiser business unit, as well as support CMD.
Kristien Varrewaere, Director of Parts & Accessories, and Marc Franssen, Director of Inflatable Boats products, will continue to lead in their respective roles. In addition, we will be forming a new focused Marketing Group with the aim of positioning our brands to ensure that products suit market needs & target segments. Marnix Dénes will join our marketing group, and the details will be unfolded in the weeks to come. James Dean will continue as Director of Supply Chain & Distribution, which has been reorganized as follows; - Distribution Operations, under the interim leadership of James Dean, will include the Distribution Centers in Belgium and Poland. Procurement in Belgium will also report to this function;
- Planning & Inventory Optimization for all product lines (engines, inflatable boats, hard boats and parts & accessories) will be under the interim management of Kristien Varrewaere, Director Parts & Accessories meanwhile a new manager, who will be leading this critical function, be appointed;
- Logistics & Trade Compliance will be managed by Wim Van Brabant, Manager Logistics & Trade Compliance.
Tony Rudd will take the newly created position of Vice President, Operations, which will comprise the following functions: - Aftersales Service under the leadership of Hans Roelants, Director, AfterSales Service, who will develop a new central support and training structure that will work hand in hand with the managers responsible for the regional aftersales field service;

- Operations of the Polish Yards;
- Plant Management at Uttern in Sweden and at Valiant in Portugal will be respectively ensured by Jan Buckhoj, Manager Operations for Uttern and Christer Lundmark, Manager Operations for Valiant.
Francis Vanbergen will take on new responsibilities as Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and ICT. Francis has outstanding experience in the marine industry, which positions him perfectly for this role. John Buelow will continue as Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, and Nancy Léonard, will continue as Director of Human Resources. John C.
