On 8th of June 2007, Brunswick Marine in EMEA has launched the Product Maintenance Tracking.
The objective is to create a specific Warranty Product Tracking database identifying if routine maintenance, as outlied in the owner's guide, has been timely performed by the owner and if the owner is entitled to benefit from warranty. Events which will be tracked are :
- Pre-Delivery Inspection;
- Confirmation that inboards and sterndrives engines (gasoline) has been installed by Certified Boat Builders;
- Maintenance: hourly or yearly maintenance done on product.
BENEFIT FOR CONSUMER
- Service increased through better dealer follow-up.
- The product value increased in case of second-hand sale.
- Log Book in an electronic format (consultable 24/24 - 7/7 by dealers worldwide).
IN PRACTICE
- All events recorded will create a database on a product starting from the registration to all maintenance operation (=product history).
- Brunswick Marine in EMEA will assume a first phase of adaptation, but the operation of maintenance records will be mandatory for all products sold to the consumer starting 1st. of September 2007.
