"BEG announces Organizational Structure for Finance Department"17/06/2004
16 June 2004 -The Brunswick European Group (BEG), the umbrella organization forour marine operations and shared services in Europe, Africa and theMiddle East (EAME), announces the organizational structure for theBEG Finance Department, under the direction of Francis Vanbergen,Chief Financial Officer for BEG.
The primarypurpose of the Brunswick European Group is to accelerate our growthby implementing a cohesive and comprehensive strategy andleveraging shared services opportunities across all of Brunswick'soperations in the region. With this organizational structure forour finance functions, we are firmly on the path of creating asustainable competitive advantage in the EAMEmarketplace.
FinanceDepartment
The new BEGFinance Department will be directly responsible for accounting,project management, treasury, and corporate governance for ourEuropean business units. In addition, the department willresponsible for financial planning and analysis for the BEG marineoperations.
Reporting toFrancis will be Jeff Olson, who will continue in his role asManager, Finance Project Development; Laurent Groteclaes, who wasrecently hired as Manager, Corporate Governance; and AndréLoosen as Manager, Shared Services General Accounting & Tax.The European Accounting Shared Services will remain located atMarine Power Europe (MPE) in Verviers, Belgium. Currently, theyprovide accounting and tax support for MPE, Cummins-MerCruiserDiesel Europe and the European business units of Sea Ray and USMarine. Over time, general accounting will expand its support toour other Brunswick operations in the region.
The Treasurerand Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis positions arecurrently open and will be filled soon. The Finance Department willbe based in the BEG headquarters office in Brussels.
MPEFinance
Robert Lits hasbeen promoted to Manager, Finance - Administration & ICT forMarine Power Europe, replacing Francis. Robert will report toJacques Bronchart, General Manager of MPE.
