Behan, who most recently served as Vice President – Planning and Business Development for the Brunswick Boat Group, will be responsible for developing and implementing a holistic distribution model that brings both unparalleled profit opportunities to our dealers and unmatched service to consumers. “This is a critical assignment as we seek to improve our distribution channel, and enhance our relationships with our dealers by expanding the suite of products and services beyond what is currently available,” McCoy added.
Behan joined the Company in 1991. He held several positions of increasing responsibility before becoming general manager of Mercury Marine’s Parts and Accessories business unit, gaining a strong knowledge of Mercury products, channels and consumers. In 2004, Behan moved to the Boat Group where he was responsible for the multi-year business planning process. He also assisted in the development and analysis of Boat Group business strategies and tactics as well as acquisitions.
While Behan will report to Mackey, he will work closely with both Mackey and Peter Hamilton, President - Brunswick Boat Group, in this new role. Behan will be based in Lake Forest, Ill.
